During a time of limitations for restaurants due to COVID-19, here is a directory of eateries still open for business and offering takeout.
At Delaware Today, we love our restaurant community.
We cover this industry daily online and monthly in our magazine. On Monday, June 1, the state of Delaware will begin allowing restaurants, along with other businesses, to enter phase one of the reopening process. Restaurants are under strict regulations to serve only 30 percent of the fire code occupancy. Reservations are required to dine, masks must be worn except when eating and drinking, and social distancing of tables is in effect. Read the entire list of regulations here.
As soon as the new phase was announced, eateries around the state began to adjust, announcing how they would continue to serve our communities. To support them, we have created a list of restaurants open for dine in, as well as though who have decided to continue with takeout and delivery offerings only.
If your favorite restaurant has decided to remain closed during this time, inquire about what other ways you can help their establishment.
Restaurant owners: as you begin to reopen for dining in, please send an email with the necessary information to Associate Editor Meg Ryan (mryan@delawaretoday.com), so we can update our listings.
