33 restaurants will donate 10 percent of their profits on Monday, Dec. 5, to the Delaware Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (DRAEF) for an inaugural fundraising event to benefit high school hospitality students. The ProStart Program, the cornerstone initiative supported by the DRAEF, currently reaches over 3,000 students in 18 Delaware high schools. ProStart students from local high schools will be showcasing their knowledge and skills in both the front and the back of house in many of the participating restaurants on Dec. 5.
“We’re so excited about the ‘Dine Out’ event, because it’s not just a fundraiser …. it’s a way for those in the community to interact with these amazing students and see the future leaders of our industry at work,” says Carrie Leishman, president and CEO of the Delaware Restaurant Association and DRAEF.
Support the ProStart Program by dining out at your favorite local restaurant. Ten percent of the dinner proceeds from each restaurant will be donated to the ProStart Program to help feed the dreams and build the futures of the students.
