After living near Rehoboth for almost 10 years, Joanne Ketler and Patricia Cipollone saw a gap in the restaurant scene. There was plenty of seafood, but the married couple couldn’t get the type of roast-beef sandwiches they loved from the Philadelphia area.
Soon, the concept for Murph’s Beef & Ale kicked into gear. They opened their restaurant/bar in Henlopen Square (37169 Rehoboth Ave. Extended, Rehoboth Beach, 212-5355, www.murphsbeefandale.com) in May, offering a simple, mouthwatering menu that focuses on USDA prime beef from local Hickman’s Meat Market.
