Harry’s Savoy Grill Continues Its Sommelier Series This Month

Guests can sample wines from the Mediterranean at the Wilmington restaurant on July 31.

If you love wine or have always wanted to learn more about it, now is your chance—Harry’s Savoy Grill’s Sommelier Series is back. The event kicked off in June, and will be held the last Wednesday of each month through October.

Guests meet certified sommeliers who give insight on each wine sample. The one-hour long class includes four to five tastings of wine.

The series on Wednesday, July 31, covers wines from the Mediterranean, including Greece, Italy and Spain. All the sample wines are available for purchase at Swigg Real Wine, Craft Beer & Spirits in Independence Mall.

Tickets for the series sell out fast, so if you miss this week’s, the next class on Wednesday, Aug. 28 will feature wines from the Pacific Northwest. The series on Wednesday, Sept. 28 will feature wines from Bordeaux, France and the series on Wednesday, Oct. 30 will feature Old World vs New World wines.

If you choose to stay for dinner (or if the series is sold out and you are still really craving a good bottle of wine), there are over 50 bottles to choose from that are available at half-price.
