Mission Crab Cake: Delaware Edition

Delawareans take their crab cakes very seriously. Evidence: You can get one at almost every restaurant in the state. But where are the best? We decided to scout out area places that specialize in seafood or offer a water view, along with the crabby dish. But not everyone goes the traditional route.

Some restaurants get adventurous, doctoring the jumbo lumps with bacon or even wasabi crème fraîche. We share some of the most intriguing creations we devoured. And, of course, we couldn’t forget about steamed hard shells. Real-deal crab houses are just the places to get down and dirty with Old Bay and a mallet.
