Growing Middletown is getting a new gastropub-style restaurant this fall. Metro Pub & Grill will open in Peachtree Station, 17 Wood St., in late October with executive chef Patrick D’Amico leading the kitchen.
D’Amico, a Culinary Institute of America grad, formerly was the chef de cuisine for Harry’s Savoy Grill and an executive sous chef at Hotel du Pont. In his capable hands, the menu will feature items like oysters on the half shell, spiced bacon caramel corn (yum!), seared “rare” ahi tuna and venison chili among other dishes.
Desserts include peach pie in a jar and “Pat’s Coffee Break” with doughnuts, gelato and Bailey’s Irish Cream sauce. Craft beer, wines and signature cocktails will also be available. The restaurant will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
