Don’t miss the fifth annual fundraiser for Global Delaware Fund at Fish On Seafood Grill & Bar in Lewes on June 27. Proceeds of the evening of wine and light fare help support the humanitarian and philanthropic work chef Matt Haley performs through his SoDel Concepts group of beach-area restaurants. Haley, you may know, was the James Beard Foundation Humanitarian of the Year for this year. Within days of the announcement, Haley learned of two more big honors: the 2014 National Restaurant Association and International Association of Culinary Professionals humanitarian awards. The James Beard Awards recognize culinary professionals for excellence and achievement. Past humanitarian honors have been awarded to big-name chefs like Emeril Lagasse and Charlie Trotter. Haley is known for helping everyone from local youth and immigrants to children and farmers around the world. You can help, too. Tickets for the event are $50, limited to 150.
