This Five-Course Bacon and Beer Dinner Sounds Like a Dream


If you’re still sticking to your New Year’s resolution to eat better, keep up the fantastic work and disregard this message. If you’ve already caved … well, you’re in luck: Caffé Gelato is hosting a Bacon and Beer Dinner this Friday, Jan. 13. 

The Newark restaurant will be serving five bacon-infused courses, each paired with Victory brews.

On the menu:


  • Beer-battered, bacon-wrapped fried jumbo shrimp with horseradish and chive aioli
  • Victory Prima Pils

Small Plate

  • Ale-battered Atlantic cod with applewood-smoked bacon beurre blanc, cracked pepper and fennel-spiced pommes frites, pickled mustard seeds and oven-dried Roma tomatoes
  • Victory Prima Pils


  • Porter-braised crispy heritage pork belly, Tuscan cannelloni bean and pancetta ragout with apple mostarda
  • Victory Hop Devil


  • Arugula, frisee and baby leaf spinach with candied duck bacon, toasted walnuts, dried cherries, Granny Smith apples, Caprino fresco, cherry Lambic vinaigrette and crispy onion fries
  • Victory Vital IPA


  • Cantaloupe sorbetto with candied prosciutto di Parma


  • Storm King Stout-glazed rack of lamb, house-crafted sweet potato gnocchi, lamb bacon, leeks, wild mushrooms, stout beer glaze, roasted Brussels sprouts, stout and bacon jam and toasted hazelnuts
  • Victory Golden Monkey


  • Bourbon barrel aged stout tiramisu, caramel bacon sauce, macerated berries, cocoa powder and powdered sugar
  • Victory Winter Cheers
