The Creamery of Kennett Square is Officially Returning

The pop-up beer garden will reopen Memorial Day weekend.

The Creamery, a pop-up beer garden and community gathering space that opened last summer in Kennett Square at the site of a century-old dairy facility, is officially returning for the summer season on Friday, May 26. Featuring craft brews, live music and lawn games, The Creamery is also expanding to include a children’s garden and family play area.

A new barbecue-style food truck will also hold a permanent spot at The Creamery this year, with a menu from Philly-based chef Travis Messman. Punk’d Pineapple Ice Cream’s food truck will also have a permanent residence, and rotating food trucks will include Natalie’s Fine Foods and Taqueria El Amigo II.

“The vision [of The Creamery] is a place where everybody can have something to resonate with—lawn games, picnic table Jenga, live music and beer. We want something for everybody so the whole family can come,” says Stephanie McClure, head of marketing.

Like last year, The Creamery plans to partner with artists to showcase art and sculptures that complement its architecture and experience. Local realism artist Robert C. Jackson will be in attendance every Thursday through the month of June from 5–7 p.m. to paint a custom mural in the farmhouse room.

As of May 26, The Creamery will be open Thursday through Sunday each week, and will remain open through the last weekend of September.
