The Inn at Duck Creek received more than a fresh coat of paint to get ready for its soft opening today, Dec. 29. After nearly a year of renovations, this 18th-century building in downtown Smyrna is finally open for business and will be hosting a New Year’s Eve Bash on Dec. 31 starting at 5 p.m. For three courses and a glass of Champagne, it’s $85 a person—or, including wine pairings with each course, $110 per person.
Start your meal with the warm, fresh seafood chowder—it’s loaded with clams, lobster, crab and a bacon crème. For the main event, try the butter-poached lobster tail or rack of lamb. End 2015 on a high note with your choice of two desserts (or, as the Inn at Duck Creek refers to them, “happy endings”). Consider the dark chocolate bête with red velvet sauce or the raspberry biscotti cheesecake. Reservations are recommended. Call Donna at 302-494-8134 to save your seat.
