Vita Nova, the student-run bistro at the University of Delaware, is back in business after a summer break. The restaurant, which re-opened last week, serves lunch Monday through Friday and dinner Wednesday through Friday. Besides its regular menu, the restaurant, on the second floor of the Trabant University Center, is offering a three-course tasting menu in the evenings with appetizers like classic Caesar salad and a house salad, entrees like pan-seared Faroe Island salmon, rigatoni with lamb Bolognese, and a porcini-crusted filet mignon, and a sampling of various desserts. This place is really popular, so reservations are a must. Email vitanova@udel.edu, visit www.opentable.com or call 302-831-0500. Bonus: There’s a parking garage next door to the restaurant building.
