Last month we announced that Viva Chicken, an authentic Peruvian rotisserie-chicken sensation, would be opening soon in Newark’s Center Pointe Plaza shopping center.
Well, the day has finally come. Viva Chicken will open its doors on Wednesday, July 11. The restaurant, known for its pollo a la brasa (herb-enhanced rotisserie chicken cooked in a charcoal-fired oven), is located at 1103 Churchmans Road in Newark.
Viva Chicken’s menu also includes items such as a quinoa-stuffed avocado, the Andina Power Food salad with a lime-passionfruit vinaigrette and arroz chaufa (Peruvian fried rice). Sides range from solterito (Peruvian corn salad), canary beans and cilantro-infused rice to plantains and yuca fries.
The restaurant will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
