An ever-growing number of residents are choosing to live full time at the Delaware beaches. Most coastal restaurants, now open in the off-season, offer tempting specials to entice these local diners. Visitors taking advantage of the quieter months should also take note of these deals!
Sunday
Start your week and end your weekend at Kindle in Lewes with a $9 bowl of mussels bobbing in a broth with chardonnay, shallots, leeks and parsley. Bonus: It comes with fries.
Like most of SoDel Concepts’ restaurants, Catch 54 in Fenwick Island has three courses for $19 on Sundays.
Monday
On Rehoboth Avenue, The Summer House is celebrated for its half-priced burgers, offered all day and evening on Mondays. But this delectable deal isn’t just for meat-eaters—salmon and tuna burgers are also available.
Striper Bites in Lewes also offers half-priced burgers on Mondays, from 5 p.m. to close.
Sushi lovers rejoiced on Oct. 2, when The Cultured Pearl’s special returned for the off-season. Every Monday, $15 will buy you three rolls, edamame, miso soup and green tea. (The regular menu is also available.)
Tuesday
On Tuesday Tastings at Blue Moon, $49 gets you three courses—appetizer, soup or salad and entrée—plus a wine pairing with each. There are several selections available: On one recent Tuesday, the entrée category alone had six options.

Wednesday
The DiFebo’s locations in Rehoboth and Bethany both offer $15 ravioli. Diners get a choice of toppings and sauces, plus a small garden salad.
Hooked Up Ale House & Raw Bar in Millsboro on Wednesdays offers a crab cake platter for $10; it includes your choice of slaw or fries.
Get 25 percent off of your entire check at Matt’s Fish Camp in Bethany Beach, only on Wednesdays.
Thursday
For a spectacular date night, head to Lupo Italian Kitchen in Rehoboth Beach. For $39, you get a Caesar salad, freshly made pasta with “old-school” meatballs and half a carafe of Conti di San Bonifacio wine.
Friday
Fish FryDays at Chesapeake & Maine feature a family-style platter with fried seasonal seafood (I enjoyed oysters and wild blue catfish on a recent visit), cole slaw and fries—$15 for adults, $10 for kids.
Saturday
Admittedly, there aren’t many off-season specials on the day when most people are likely to dine out. So hit up the usual Friday through Sunday happy hour offerings at Fins Ale House & Raw Bar between Lewes and Rehoboth. It’s available from opening until 6 p.m.
