Shari Short is a writer and consultant in healthcare and consumer psychology. A developmental psychologist by training, Shari has researched consumer decision-making and behaviors in the fields of health care, tourism, higher education and finance. With more than 15 years of experience in the field of strategic planning, research and marketing, Shari has held positions with the National Cancer Institute, Centers for Disease Control, and Aloysius Butler and Clark. A former standup comedian, Shari has been the opening act for performers such as Shawn Colvin and Sandra Bernhard. Shari earned a B.F.A. in cinema studies from New York University Tisch School of the Arts and received her M.A. in developmental psychology from Columbia University Teachers College.
