Something Blues
Where will you see the next Bonnie Raitt? At the Riverfront Blues Fest, Aug. 5-7 at Tubman-
Garrett Riverfront Park in Wilmington, where you can see 23-year-old guitar phenom Joanne Shaw Taylor rip it up, followed by the likes of harpist James Cotton and his band, Tab Benoit and Jumpin’ Johnny Sansone. It’s one of the biggest, rockin’est parties of the summer. Make a day of it, or jam all weekend long. Tickets are $15-$50. riverfrontbluesfest.com

It’s a Wild, Wild Life
Who’s new at Brandywine Zoo? Find out during Family Fun Night, Aug. 18, when the WSTW Wake-Up Crew will join zoo staff to entertain with an evening of special exhibits and activities, including crafts and games. The animals star, of course—all for the low, low price of $1 (with $1 hotdogs and soft drinks, too). It’s a real bargain. Raindate is Aug. 25. 571-7747, brandywinezoo.org

The Old Song and Dance
Don’t miss Clear Space’s productions of “Chicago,” “Words &  Music—By Gershwin” and “100 Years of Broadway.” The shows will end on Labor Day. “Chicago” is the classic tale of celebrity murders in the 1920s. “Words & Music” presents six vignettes of works by George Gershwin. “100 Years of Broadway III” dances its way through a songbook that ranges from George M. Cohan to Stephen Sondheim, from “Mamma Mia!” to “Jersey Boys.” Shows are Tuesdays through Sundays at 7 p.m. at The Clear Space Theatre in Rehoboth Beach. 227-2270, clearspacetheatre.org
