Visit the Delaware Art Museum
Have them take turns finding paintings and have them pose like the figure in the painting. Be sure and head out to the back and walk through the sculpture garden and the Labyrinth. The museum also has kids’ corner creativity hours where they can play in Kaleidoscope Cove, an interactive art installation created by Ben, Eilish, Thor and Milo Volta inspired by Howard Pyle.

Enjoy a round of mini-golf

Spend a day at the park
Delaware has 17 state parks all just waiting to be explored. Take your kids out to the beach to Cape Henlopen State Park to visit the Nature Center, walk the trails and go for a swim.

Rainy day ideas
Put them to work on an artistic project. If they like to draw, give them a sketchpad and ask them to draw something for when you get home. If they like to write, ask them to write a short story of their adventures. Give them some clay and have them make a sculpture, have them make up a dance routine or a play they can perform.
