Accessories are an Extension of a Bride’s Unique Self

From shoes and belts to veils and headpieces, small details make big statements.

Today’s bride is all about the details. She knows that the accessories she chooses complete her wedding look and make it her own. While another bride might choose the same dress, she’ll never have it pulled together with the same belt, headpiece, jewelry and shoes.

“Some brides know all the details and then comes the dress,” says Sharlyn Rodriquez, a bridal consultant with Claire’s Fashions in Wilmington. Terry Barnes, owner of Amoré Bridal in Dover, agrees. She says she’s had brides who’ve already selected their shoes and are looking to find a dress that matches them.

While the exact details differ from bride to bride, there are some general trends in accessories.
