Photo Shop
Remember those old photo booths along the boardwalk arcade where you would pile in with your friends, close the curtain and flash a different funny face for every shot? You can enjoy that fun and nostalgia with a photo booth at your wedding reception.
Walt Palmer and his wife Gwen, owners of Mugs & Stitches in Lewes, fell in love with the idea at a recent wedding. “Us older folks remembered the booths and had a great time with it,” Walt says. After showing the younger guests how to use the booth, it turned into a great success.
After the wedding Walt was so taken with the idea that he purchased two machines and started thephotoboothguy.com. The company offers two choices: the traditional sit-down photo booth, with stool and curtain, that produces a Polaroid with four separate photos on it, or the more high-tech kiosk, which looks like an ATM machine and produces a 4×6 color photo. The kiosk also offers 20 different decorative borders and can be programmed to brand the photos with the couple’s names and wedding date.
The booths and an attendant cost $1,050 for four hours for events within 50 miles of Lewes, and events outside of that radius cost an addition $2 per mile. For more information, call 360-3600.
