From the visual arts to drama and music, the Riverfront is awash in culture.

From the visual arts to drama and music, the Riverfront is awash in culture. Here are some of the attractions:

  • The Delaware Theatre Company is a professional resident company that produces classic theater as well as new works. Recent productions include “The Exonerated” and “Ain’t Misbehavin’.”
  • The Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts presents more than 30 exhibitions each year of local, national and international artists who explore topical issues in contemporary art and society.
  • OperaDelaware, one of the oldest opera companies in the U.S., takes a 21st century approach to the art form with the philosophy “Opera for Everyone.”
  • City Theater Company, Delaware’s off-Broadway, presents offbeat productions, original works and spins on classics in the intimate Black Box in the OperaDelaware building.
