Delaware scent enthusiasts rejoice! Bar Reverie’s sexy and fresh signature scent is available for purchase in the forms of both soap and lotion at the restaurant.
Lauren Golt, founder of Social Stylate, is a designer, branding expert and marketing strategist who guides clients across all communications needs. Her expertise in brand development is clear when looking at local clients like Mint & Needle, Bar Reverie, Adorn Goods and Houppette.
Bar Reverie, a new concept in Greenville, is the result of this marketing and branding powerhouse partnering with seasoned restaurateur David Dietz. One significant part Golt played in the marketing and branding strategy: a signature scent for the establishment’s restrooms.
“I’m a big scent person, and I really wanted the bathrooms to smell great when you walked in. There’s nothing better to me than when you walk into a room and it smells great.”
But just “great” wasn’t enough to satisfy Golt’s vision. Working with another friend and client, Houppette, she developed a signature scent completely exclusive to Bar Reverie.
“I loved the idea of a signature sent giving the atmosphere and the vibe. I pitched it to [Dietz] when I was designing the restaurant, and he really liked the idea.”
The goal with the scent was a gender-neutral and sensual blend. Fine wine, quality espresso and French food are widely considered “sexy” experiences, and Golt wanted the scent to align.
“I knew exactly what I wanted,” Golt explains. “A woman’s feminine perfume rolling around in bedsheets with a man’s cologne.”
Golt turned to the experts at Houppette to bring this scent to life. Sharing her vision of a sexy scent with both feminine and masculine elements, Golt trusted them to come up with the perfect scent.
The resulting products—a soap, a lotion and a diffuser oil—have sensual base notes of suede, tobacco and brown sugar. A playful heart of pink pepper and pineapple give the scent its feminine elements, and crushed mint and zesty lemon add brightness on the top to balance it out.
Made with all-natural botanicals, the hand soap is vegan and based in vegetable oils. The silky lotion is moisturizing and all-natural.
