Tucked in the Villages of Five Points—in space formerly occupied by The Med Spa & Salon—Village Salon debuted in January when Raven Hudson became the owner. (You can still get Botox and physician-grade peels.) Hudson plans to do a major makeover on the decor and add a relaxation room, where guests can go between treatments—and there are many at this full-service salon.
Microdermabrasion, an exfoliation tool, can help rejuvenate sun-damaged skin on the face, neck, shoulders, back, arms and legs. “It’s best when done in a series or added to a peel,” Hudson says. (Prices start at $82.)
The salon offers many types of peels, including the Apeele, a revitalizing treatment that helps reduce scars, fine lines and age spots with little to no down time. Peels range from $50 to $325, depending on the depth and peeling agent.
As for those dry, brittle locks, she suggests Redken Chemistry System, which are customized treatments tailored to the client’s needs. All the treatments include a stress-relieving scalp massage. Deep-conditioning treatments range from $15-$25.
