Arden and James

Who doesn’t love a good handbag, especially one that is customizable? That is the case at Arden and James, a business run by Bri Brant, who not only uses local material for the handbags, but also makes them entirely by hand. With an already thriving setup at worKS Kennett Square (a concept store that features a curated group of retailers) and a new shop opening on Saturday, Sept. 16, in Chadds Ford, Arden and James “offers a very satisfying and unique shopping experience for a wide variety of people.”

Malena’s Vintage Boutique

Full of elegant, vintage women’s clothing and jewelry dating anywhere from the 1870s to the 1970s, Malena’s Boutique joined worKS Kennett Square 14 years after opening its original store in West Chester, Pa. Owner Malena Martinez, a graduate of Unionville High School, says that her store is “engaging to all age groups,” and with new inventory arriving everyday, you’re sure to find something wonderful for your wardrobe.

Marchè

Marchè opened in October of last year, and sells everything from furniture, to home décor to women’s clothing. Owned by Elizabeth Carter and Deanna Johnson, the duo hope to open an interior design center above the shop in the near future. Carter says, “word of mouth has been great” for the success of the store.
