So, how’s 2020 been for you so far?
Right. Bad question. We get it. It’s been rough for us all in one way or another, and few quite so much as those we seek to honor each year in the Best of Delaware rankings.
But while restaurants and retail—two of the foundations of Best of Delaware—have taken a significant hit with months-long closures and limits on service, we want to take this annual occasion to remind Delawareans that within our borders we are blessed with legions of enterprising, creative and resilient residents and business owners who work hard to earn your adoration, nominations and votes. As the world opens back up and we ease into new habits, your support for the work of our Best of Delaware winners and their peers will be more important than ever.
Each year we reach out to our readers to ask what your favorites are in dozens of categories, and you never let us down. To you, we offer thanks. We couldn’t take on this monumental annual task without you and your support, and even in a voting period marked by anxiety, covered faces and distance from each other, you have still found the silver lining and come together to laud those who make our lives brighter, tastier and more beautiful. This, indeed, has been one of the true indicators of what makes Delaware and its people the best.
