The wedding of Sarah Pierce and Amarin Cogburn, both of Newark, was the perfect blend of traditional and non-traditional. Sarah chose an Anthropologie dress with grandmother’s pin on the back and her mother’s garter underneath. The men wore suits and sported sneakers. The ceremony was held mid-week at the Children’s Garden at Winterthur, but Sarah kept it traditional by having her hair, makeup and nails done to the hilt. Says photographer Kate Callahan, “It’s proof that sometimes simple can be really beautiful.”
