Celebrate the Life of Dewey Beach’s Iconic Baycenter

Lighthouse Cove’s End of an Era Party will commemorate the closing—and eventual reopening—of the beloved venue.

Lighthouse Cove recently announced details for the final scheduled event at the iconic Baycenter events venue in Dewey Beach. The 40-year-old facility is set to be demolished and eventually redeveloped. The brand new state-of-the-art special events facility, part of the Lighthouse Cove Redevelopment Project, will focus on everything from weddings to conferences to corporate retreats.

An End of an Era Party will take place at the venue (124 Dickinson Street, Dewey Beach) on Friday, Nov. 3, from 7–11 p.m. The celebration will honor the legacy of the Baycenter, which has hosted thousands of memorable events in Dewey Beach for nearly 40 years.

The party will feature a four-hour premium open bar and various food stations, plus entertainment from The Amish Outlaws and DJ Manny. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Dewey Business Partnership, which partners with residents, property owners, town government and several local businesses to maintain and enhance the Dewey Beach way of life.

The event is open to the public. Tickets may be purchased via Eventbrite at $49 per person. (Limited group table purchases are also available.)

Hyatt Place Dewey Beach will also be offering discounted room packages for $99 a night. Call 888-91-1234 or visit www.HyattPlaceDeweyBeach.com to make reservations; on the website, use the group code G-EERA in the group or corporate code section.
