It’s been a busy few months in the Delaware restaurant world. A number of yummy places have opened—like Limestone BBQ and Bourbon, Lhasa Bistro and Bardea—but a number of mainstays have shuttered their doors.
Lewinsky’s on Clinton, which opened five years ago in Delaware City, closed Sept. 23. The cheeky bar offered classic bar food with a twist and plenty of live music.
Tutto Fresco, an Italian mainstay on Philadelphia Pike since 1994, is now closed due to health violations.
And De La Coeur Café et Boulangerie—the sister restaurant to De La Coeur Café et Pâtisserie in Forty Acres—is apparently relocating, only a little more than a year after owners Gretchen and Alex Sianni took over the site from restaurateur Mickey Donatello, who was operating Bon Appetit. The couple has not yet divulged the new location of the cafe, which specializes in freshly baked bread, crepes, pastries and other baked goods.
