It’s not every day you get to witness a little piece of history—when you can some day brag to your grandkids, “ I was here the day it opened!”
Today was the day for the fashionista history books, the first Nordstrom to come to Delaware has finally rolled up its doors for business.
Done up in the good old customer friendly tradition that has made this family-owned business famous, the Nordstrom team did an outstanding job welcoming new shoppers.
We were all greeted with friendly smiles and a large tote by a supercharged army of highly trained Nordstrom staff members.
Then with doughnuts and coffee brewing, everyone enjoyed mingling and trying out fragrances and makeup.
Then came the countdown. The doors rolled open, the crowd cheered, and shoppers bustled through the doors, anxious to roam the glistening new store with marble floors, funky fun dressing rooms and lots of fabulous merchandise.
It is hard to pick what I like most about the new store. The men’s shoe department is certainly impressive. Yes, the women’s is too, but the men really won’t be disappointed!
The designer purses are to die for. How exciting to see yummy brands like Kate Spade and Valentino. Make sure to check out the “rock stud” collection…gooorgeous!
Must say the lingerie section is incredible. They actually train all the sales staff on how to properly fit a bra. I highly recommend you ask for help, so you make sure you’re getting the right size. With styles from France, England and other major brands you will find unique pieces that you would have to drive at least 45 minutes to find!
Other perks include, personal shoppers, an eyebrow bar, restaurant, Encore department (plus size), and upscale clothes and shoes for the entire family—all under one roof!
So now that it is finally here, I hope you all will come on out and visit our newest state treasure!
