Millville Town Peddler has reopened after a 10-year absence. Kelley Reynolds, who started the business, gave her children permission to revive the business. Samantha runs the traditional side, which offers “new and used treasures,” her mother says—jewelry, furniture, pottery and glassware. In the same space, Clay owns Reynold’s Back Door Surfboards, which also sells skimboards and other water sport supplies. (381-5891, facebook.com/MillvilleTownPeddler)
Used furniture and accessories are also on tap at Jayne’s Reliable in Dagsboro. The store sells used furniture and home accessories, says owner Karen Jayne. But it’s also the sole distributor of Ce Ce Caldwell Paints, a chalk-based paint used to distress furniture. (927-0049, facebook.com/jaynesreliable)
Don’t spend your time seeking shells and sea glass. Look for bargains instead at Designer Consigner, where happy customers have found Kate Spade and Lily Pulitzer items. Owner Michele Scott-Costas opened the upscale resale shop in the spring on First Street in Rehoboth Beach. (212-2467, designerconsignerde.com)
If your idea of a vintage look starts in the 1970s, you’re in luck. In March, L&L Retro in Rehoboth Beach began offering tie-dyed Ts and hoodies. (The clothing is new, not used.) Stock up before the Firefly Festival. (430-4291, facebook.com/LLRetro)
