Led by aquatics director Matt Quandt, the club holds regular workouts, competes against other Delmarva teams and hosts open water swims during the summer. “We all do different lengths and speeds,” Quandt says, “from swimmers doing one lap at a time very slowly to collegiate-level swimmers who will do a couple thousand yards. Fenwick Island’s Coastal Kayak makes hitting the water easy with their hourly “no stress” kayak and paddleboard rentals. Looking to shake up your routine? Step out with Four Acres Living’s alpaca walks in Frankford. Available Thursday through Sunday, participants can stroll alongside these woolly wonders. Led by a knowledgeable guide, the approximately 2/3-mile walk provides an opportunity to learn about the animals and the farm. Those age 12 and older can lead an alpaca, while younger participants can join at a reduced cost.
