Ed Goyda, Lewes Public Library
In the biz: eight years
Job fave: The variety. “You go from teaching someone to use an e-reader, to drafting policy, to managing staff.”
What cinched his hire: Management experience, technology skills, flexibility
Technology won’t make libraries obsolete. In the quiet Lewes library last year, 16,000 people used its computers, 10,000 attended programs, and circulation was 3.5 times the 50,000 items housed there. New information technologies have always been coming: telegraph, radio, television; then computer, Internet and e-readers.
