Delaware State University
As the second largest public university in Delaware, the home of the Hornets provides in-state students with a more personal undergraduate education at an affordable cost. It boasts six colleges (including the College of Agriculture and Related Sciences, and the College of Education, Health & Public Policy) and extensive research opportunities ranging from the Center for Integrated Biological and Environmental Research to the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative.

The numbers: 3,745 full-time undergrads … 1290 median SAT (comparable to an 18 ACT) … $7,336 in-state annual tuition, $15,692 out-of-state annual tuition, $10,708 room and board … 52 undergrad degree programs … 42.7% acceptance rate.
