Walk the red carpet this month at Delaware Today’s Fashion Awards, the first event in Delaware to celebrate all aspects of fashion in the First State. This issue of the magazine features each of the nominees in every category—from stylists to boutiques to the individuals who stand out in Delaware fashion—but you’ll have to wait until the dramatic opening of the envelope at the awards ceremony for the winner to be revealed.
The Fashion Awards will be held at the elegant ballroom at Deerfield in Newark, one of Delaware’s premier party venues. Guests at the Fashion Awards will feast on upscale hors d’oeuvres, sip the signature cocktail created for the evening, and mix and mingle with fellow fashionistas. They can also visit sponsor booths to scope out the hottest products and latest trends in fashion.
And it’s all for a good cause, with nonprofit $tand by Me benefiting from the evening’s proceeds.

Jazz vibraphonist Joe Baione (above) will provide the evening’s entertainment, along with his daughter, Alexis (at left).
The evening’s entertainment will be provided by jazz vibraphonist Joe Baione, who has been called “an excellent example of the new breed of jazz musician.” Baione has entertained at jazz festivals throughout the country, opened for the likes of the legendary Dave Brubeck, and was named a “Rising Jazz Star of Tomorrow” by Jazz at Lincoln Center.
It’s a night for the fashion elite, so be sure to come dressed in your most fashion-forward attire.
