tWhat makes your pet so special: She only weighs 4 pounds, but I know her heart surely must account for at least 3.5 pounds of that!
tHow would you describe your pet’s personality: Intelligent, quiet, loving and protective with a dash of dizziness mixed in.
tYour pet’s sweetest/most endearing trait or habit: Her heart. She’s all love— 24/7. When my husband broke his neck and was housebound for over three months, she never left his side and would even wiggle herself in between the metal bars of the halo he had to wear and wrap herself around his neck. She would rest with him like that all day. She was really a great comfort to him during that time and he swears the heat from her body helped him heal more quickly and lessened the pain.
tYour pet’s most annoying trait or habit: Unfortunately, she has two: She can smell every mole that decides to tunnel underground in our yard. She will not only dig herself into a mad frenzy but also will literally bite at the dirt and use her mouth as a shovel in an effort to try and get to that mole! It can be quite a job getting all of the dirt out of her mouth, nose, eyes and ears.
tShe must sleep smack dad in the middle of our bed, right in between me and my husband. If she jumps off the bed during the night, she has trained us so that instead jumping back up on to the bed, she just has to stand on her hind legs, give a little whimper, and use her front legs to “beat” on the comforter until one of us reaches down and picks her up. For as small as she is, it’s amazing how loud and annoying she can beat on that comforter.
