“I enjoy it. If you don’t enjoy it, leave it alone.” That’s Bobby DiFebo, patriarch of the clan behind DiFebo’s Restaurant in Bethany Beach, on a YouTube video of him making “gravy.” In five minutes, DiFebo explains his parents’ background in food service in Wilmington and his daughters’ starting DiFebo’s Restaurant, all as the camera cuts away to scenes of him chopping onions and garlic, then loading them in the big cooker with a stock of beef, veal and pork, and can after can of tomatoes. DiFebo doesn’t reveal any big secrets, but you’ll get the gist. And if you need step-by-step instructions for making pepper and egg sandwiches, there’s a video of that, too. Go to YouTube, search “DiFebo’s Restaurant,” then prepare to drool.
