Believe it or not, the holidays are right around the corner. Thanksgiving is only six weeks away, Hanukkah is less than two months away and Christmas will be here before we know it, which means lots of cooking and entertaining are in the near future.
It’s never to early to get a head start on festive food prep. Which begs the question, when was the last time you sharpened your cutlery? Get it done and out of the way this Friday, Oct. 12, from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Harvest Market Natural Foods in Hockessin. Jesse Howe of Howe Sharp visits the store’s parking lot on the second Friday of each month. Drop off your items to be sharpened while you shop or run errands; turnaround time is usually between 15 and 30 minutes.
Howe Sharp is a mobile-sharpening service based out of Perkasie, Pennsylvania. Owner Jesse Howe provides sharpening, cleaning and repair on all types of tools, including knives, garden tools, scissors and specialty items.
