Here are some must-visit farmers markets across the First State.

The Brandywine Park Farmers Market

Brand-new to Wilmington in 2025, this collaboration between the Friends of Wilmington Parks and the Spread Good Karma Foundation brings local vendors and farmers to the fountain in Brandywine Park on Saturdays. After a successful opening day on May 3, the farmers market will take place weekly through October 25. In the event Brandywine Park is occupied by another event on Saturday, the Brandywine Park Farmers Market will take place on the following Sunday instead. Historic Lewes Farmers Market

There are so many reasons to visit Historic Lewes during the summer, and this farmers market is a top pick. On Saturdays and Wednesdays throughout the warmer months, find everything from fresh produce and flowers to locally brewed kombucha and even oysters and clams. Downtown Farmers Market at Rodney Square

On Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wilmington residents flock to Rodney Square for food truck fare, fresh produce, flowers and herbs, handmade crafts, and more. The season kicked off May 7 and will run through October 29.

Newark Natural Foods Co-Op Farmers Market

The Newark Natural Foods Co-Op offers Newark residents a place to find locally sourced foods and fresh produce all year round. On Sundays from May to November, the Co-Op hosts an open-air market in the shopping center parking lot. Visit from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. to support local businesses and foster relationships with the folks behind the products you buy.

Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market

West Side Farmers Market at Cool Spring Park

Starting June 25, the West Side Farmers Market at Cool Spring Park will take place every Wednesday from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Head to the Wilmington park to browse the freshest local produce, baked goods, local honey, cold-pressed juice, and much more.

Riverwalk Farmers Market

Downtown Milford’s market celebrates 30 years of serving the community. The market helps preserve the small-town community feel of Milford while supporting local farmers, bakers, and artisans. Visit on Saturdays through October from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to shop local in style.

Dutch County Farmers Market

This beloved Middletown market is open all year and offers the pleasures of Amish country in one convenient location. Middletown residents visit the market to stock up on fresh produce, dairy, and deli selections. Swing by on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays to shop a wide variety of vendors for food, handmade gifts, furniture, fresh-cut flowers, and other hyperlocal treats.
