When you have a special event to attend, or are too tired to deal with your own tresses, there are few quick and easy options to turn to in the First State. But not anymore. Blo Blow Dry Bar, North America’s original and largest blow-dry bar, opened its newest and first Delaware location last weekend. The bar is located at Greenville Center next to Kate’s Spalon.
Owner Kerry Welsh says Blo has a staff of 10 stylists, all of whom have come from local salons and blow-dry bars.
“People have really embraced the concept,” says Welsh, who held a soft opening on Friday, Feb. 3. “We always have Champagne, and customers will be able to book private parties, including bachelorette, bridal showers, birthdays, girls’ night outs and special events,” she says.
Services offered include:
- “Blo out” (choose from seven signature styles, randing from flirty curls to fishtail braids to elegant ponytails)
- Updo a la carte (choose your own style);
- A “blo out” plus clip-in extension installation (bring along your clip-in extensions)
- Head massage;
- Braid; and
- “Blo out” with deep conditioning.
Makeup services and Blo bridal will be available in the future, but for now, Blo Blow Dry Bar’s motto, “You’re not cheating on your hairdresser,” rings true. With no cut and color services, it’s now easy to achieve fun, flirty and flawless hair no matter what the occasion.
