Shopping for wardrobe staples on a dime? Christina’s Too, which opened in January, has the same hot labels as its mother store, Christina’s Unique Accessories and More. (Both are located in Talleyville Towne Shoppes.)
Christina’s Too features apparel, accessories and gifts at clearance prices. Serving as an outlet store to Christina’s (think Nordstrom Rack), the store has an array of apparel, jewelry and shoes priced anywhere from 30 to 60 percent off.
Chris Ballas, the owner of both stores, opened up the secondary shop due to a shortage of space at Christina’s Unique Accessories and More. Ballas first launched her business in 2003 and has become a local favorite for trendy jewelry, fashionable clothing and hip accessories. Ballas even has Phillies, Eagles and Flyers gear in stock for sports fans on a budget.
Labels featured at both stores include b.u. jewelry, a whimsical line of handmade charms, earrings and bracelets. “We have a lot of meaningful jewelry like that,” Ballas says. “I get it in and it flies out of the store.”
She also sells jewelry from The Giving Keys, a company that employs individuals transitioning out of homelessness.
Other trending items for summer are Lindsay Philips flip-flops and Scout beach totes. Bellas offers complimentary monogramming on Scout bags when you buy them in the store. Otherwise, she offers vinyl monogramming for $5 to $10.
“I’m always changing things,” Ballas says. “I want to keep it new and fresh.”
