A gay moment from “Here We Go,” musical revue produced by the Fort Miles Players, soon to be shown at Fort duPont and “The Playhouse,” Wilmington.
The lone male surrounded by a bevy of beauties, all members of the Fort Miles Dance Band, as well as principals of the cast, is Pfc. John Owen Fox, well known concert singer, engaged in vocalizing for the audience, the Berlin hit “A Pretty Girl is Like a Melody,” and proving it, are Private Ted Aurnhammer, whose girlish ankle shows perhaps a bit more than is proper; brunette and fetching Pfc. Sidney Schulman, who as “Gypsey Rose Lee” in another skit literally won the hearts of all the soldiers in the audience; and blonde Pfc. Arthur Milton of Wilmington, garbed in pink taffeta. Orchestra Leader, Staff Sgt. George Kirvey with trombone and Corporal Max Meyer look interestedly on.
