Style sense
It changes from day to day, depending on how I’m feeling. But my [personal style] leans toward somewhat whimsical. I like miniskirts and knee socks.
Blasts from the past
I’m retro inspired, both in my professional and casual wardrobe—very much ’60s, ’70s. I’m dipping into the ’80s and ’90s because they’re hot. Trying on clothes I saw on TV as a kid is fun.
Bling in bloom
I haven’t found my jewelry calling yet. I wear daintier pieces like a little gold chain with a little heart pendant. I would like to explore bigger pieces like the big, gold, dangly disc earrings I got from Water Lili in Bethany. They’re just…amazing.
You never leave home without…
Sunglasses, which are one of my favorite accessories. I’ve got tons in various shapes and colors, and I have a pair to go with every attitude and outfit.
Wearing many hats—literally
I like to wear berets, beanies, and the classic knit hat with the puff ball on top. I want to wear a wide-brimmed hat, but I just can’t pull that one off.
If money were no object…
Designer fashion isn’t my forte. I mean, would I kill for some red-bottom shoes? Sure, I think just a really nice, funky pair of boots that scream “Leah”…that’s what I would buy.
Online ardor
I just found an online clothing boutique called the Hippie Shake. Miracle Eye is another one I really like. [Again,] if money were no object, there’s a suede rainbow romper with stripes and fringe sleeves. Oh, man!
A TV persona you admire…
One of my favorites is Mary Tyler Moore—a woman in the broadcasting world. I pull looks from Jessica Day from “New Girl” and Midge Maisel from “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” who has standing and sitting clothes. I get it, girl!
Scent-sations
Valentino Born in Roma, a gender-neutral scent that makes me feel like a powerful corporate businesswoman, and Bvlgari Goddess, which is softer and a little more feminine.
Shoe-ins
Boots. I’ve got platform boots, mint green go-go boots, white go-go boots, and brown sock boots from Forever 21.
Leah-isms
If there are suns, moons, and stars on there, my friends will say, “Oh, this is so you!” But sunglasses and berets are part of the signature look.
