Longwood Gardens Earns Two Prestigious Accolades

Tying in with its $250 million makeover, the destination earned top placements on not one, but two noteworthy lists.

It looks like everyone else is finding out what local nature lovers already know. In March, “TIME” magazine put Longwood Gardens on its list of The World’s Greatest Places of 2025.

“TIME” took special notice of the horticultural haven’s recent $250 million makeover. “In November, it unveiled ‘Longwood Reimagined: A New Garden Experience,’ an ambitious revitalization ahead of its 100th birthday,” Devorah Lev-Tov wrote. “The renovation saw the addition of new buildings and landscapes across 17 acres of its central grounds. The sparkling centerpiece is a newly built 32,000-square-foot glasshouse that appears to float on water.”

For its honors, “TIME” solicits nominations from its correspondents and contributors, as well as an application process, for “one-of-a-kind spots and experiences around the globe.”

Also, late last year, Titan Travel, a United Kingdom–based travel company, researched the world’s most beautiful gardens—and Longwood Gardens took the top spot.

For this, Titan Travel created a list of the world’s most famous gardens and looked at Google Ads Keyword Planner to see the increase in searches for each garden over the past few years. They tabulated the number of hashtags, sought out the number of reviews for each on Tripadvisor, and counted the frequency of the reviews using the word “beautiful.”
