Lucinda William, outgoing executive director of the Delaware Symphony Orchestra
I came to Delaware Symphony an orchestra elitist, believing only major metropolitan cities have world class orchestras. What makes a world class orchestra? Talented musicians able to perform an array of programming, internationally released and recognized recordings, gifted leadership on the podium. During my journey with the symphony, one thing I learned: You don’t have to live in a major city to have a world class orchestra close to home.
