If loosening up at the gym was a part of your routine, the reality of coronavirus may have you feeling tight. Social distancing calls for staying at home and away from enclosed public spaces, which means avoiding the confined, public gym environment.
Ashley Paoli Kapes, owner of Lovering Studio in Wilmington, has some workout advice for folks who’ve succumbed to staying at home.
“If your career or family life doesn’t allow you to take an extended time to exercise, you can do 10- to 15-minute workouts a few times a day,” she says.
Kapes adds that creating a designated workout space in your home is beneficial, as is scheduling classes as part of your daily routine. Perhaps most importantly, she says, “Get outside and move!”
As you practice social distancing from home, these online courses offered by local gyms and fitness centers will help you feel like a part of a community while helping you battle cabin fever by boosting your endorphins.
