From the Publisher: Putting Out a Magazine During a Pandemic

We’ve planned for a lot of contingencies at Delaware Today. Publishing the magazine during a pandemic wasn’t one of them. To say we’re in uncharted territory would be an incredible understatement.

Thank you for reading our May issue, which you can enjoy complimentary access to here. It means a great deal to us as our editorial team (working remotely) has done overtime rewriting much of the magazine in light of the ever-changing COVID-19 news cycle. I think they’ve done a terrific job, and we welcome your comments.

Our role at Delaware Today has always been to inform and inspire readers with stories about the people and places that make our state a great place to work and live. While we’re not stopping now, we know that the script has changed.

Concern for the health and well-being of our colleagues, readers and neighbors remains at the forefront of all our minds. Shuttered businesses, especially restaurants, are hurting, as are their employees and loyal customers. We’re using our print, digital and social media channels to support them and the larger Delaware community. Please visit the #302Strong page of on our website for information on where you can still order your favorite meal through takeout and delivery, shop online from a local store, contribute to a worthy cause or stay current with how our state is responding to the crisis.

Thank you for being part of the Delaware Today family. We pledge to do our best to support you, our advertisers and our community with content that makes a difference now and for years to come.

Warmest regards,
Michael G. Reath, Publisher
