Delaware Landmarks Light Up in Support of Essential Workers

A collective of lighting and event-industry professionals express their gratitude for essential workers and one another during the pandemic.

Presented by Main Light Industries, a collective of lighting and live-entertainment-industry workers called Illuminate Delaware recently lit up iconic Delaware locations—from Wilmington’s Grand Opera House and 1201 N. Market St. (the state’s tallest building) to the 76ers Field House and State House in Dover—to express gratitude to essential workers and as a symbol of unity to fellow Delawareans.

On four different nights, bursts of neon blue, red and green could be seen near and far, as an industry that’s been hard-hit and will most likely be one of the last to come back did what it does best: drew a crowd together.
