Blanton is considered a “compassionate and quiet leader” who’s constantly relied upon to get the job done. A mechanical engineering graduate, Blanton was the first person in her family to earn a college degree.
Today, she is a leader at Veolia North America who aims to reach zero health and safety complaints on job sites. Blanton says she was always interested in environmental science, and ebbs and flows are what led her to the health and safety aspect of the job. She says she feels it’s important to offer support at work, especially among female colleagues. When she speaks with young people, her advice is to find a passion and pursue it.
