Sara Crawford Jones

Program Director, Women’s Business Center at True Access Capital

As the founder of a small fashion line, Jones understands both the entrepreneurial spirit and support needed to start and succeed in business. As the program director at True Access Capital, she enjoys “helping other women realize their own dreams.”

Jones’ job is to evaluate where clients are in the process and their subsequent needs—whether it’s writing a business plan from scratch or moving an existing business forward—and connects them with the right support. At the Women’s Business Center last year, her team helped more than 1,000 women (and some men) advance their businesses through training, counseling, networking and education.

“We don’t just educate women here—we empower them and equip them,” she says. What makes her tick when she’s on the clock? “I’m so happy when [a client] is one step closer to their goal,” Jones says.

Something she’s learned through both businesses: “Take a chance. Go beyond what’s familiar. Find your purpose and walk in that purpose. A mentor once told me, ‘Your best asset is you.’ Everything is learnable. If you want to make it happen, you can make it happen.’”
