Revelation Craft Brewing Company Turns Two

A celebration is planned for Saturday, June 30.

Revelation Craft Brewery has quietly garnered a squadron of faithful fans since opening in 2016. On Saturday, June 30, the brewery will pull out all the stops to mark its anniversary and reward loyal customers.

Festivities will begin at 9 a.m. with the bottle release of Gran Toro, an imperial “mamajuana” brown ale.

Mamajuana originated in the Dominican Republic, and is made by soaking rum, red wine and honey with tree bark and herbs.

Revelation’s version starts with mamajuana wood—which its brewmaster brought back from the Dominican Republic—and is aged in rum barrels. You might taste hints of palo santo wood, star anise and cinnamon.

Revelation hopes that its beer lives up to the original drink, which reportedly makes consumers “feel strong like a bull.”

The first 250 customers will receive a free can koozie, and musician Mike Weyrauch will perform from 5 to 8 p.m.

DaNizza Wood Fired Pizza Rehoboth will offer wings, crab balls, flatbreads and, of course, wood-fired pizzas. The on-site food truck will open at 9 a.m. for a pizza and beer breakfast.

The brewery is right off Route 1—or, if you’re on a bike, it’s near the Junction and Breakwater Trail.
