The Apron Bazaar
The People’s Church, Dover, 1952
This was a huge bazaar that the whole church had,” says Cynthia Hotchkiss of the People’s Church of Dover. Despite the name, the aprons—which women sewed then sold—were just a small part of the event that ended in the early 1960s.
