This Popular Reality Series is Featuring Rehoboth Beach Properties

Vacation Rental Potential showcases Delaware’s coast Thursday night on FYI.

The Delaware beaches are a popular vacation destination for Delawareans, and for those out-of-state willing to battle for a spot in the sand or the dreaded Route 1 traffic. But if you’re not lucky enough to own your little piece of paradise, oftentimes your best bet is renting a property from a site like Airbnb or HomeAway. In fact, vacation rentals in the area have become so popular that they are now the topic of a popular television reality series, “Vacation Rental Potential.”

The series follows potential vacation home buyers to popular travel destinations across the U.S., helps them choose a perfect property and shares best practices and tips for making it successful.

The television show is now in its second season, and on Thursday night will feature a Virginia couple looking for the perfect vacation rental property in Rehoboth Beach.

Brad Driver and Stacey Jennings have been coming to Rehoboth Beach for 20 years and were discovered by the show’s producers because of another property they had listed on HomeAway.

The couple filmed the show in October over the course of four days and ended up choosing a townhome that is located within walking distance to Rehoboth Ave., a great amenity for renters. “We looked at three locations—one was in Rehoboth, one was in Bethany and one was in the country club area of Rehoboth,” says Driver. “We liked them all for different reasons, but this location had the convenience, was new construction, had a great amount of space and we got to pick out everything that we wanted,” he says.

Driver and Jennings are both 47 years old, entrepreneurs and wanting to cut back a bit and relax a little more. However, they did just purchase another vocational rental property in Rehoboth that they are in the middle of renovating. “More than anything, we really like design. We have an aesthetic that we feel very strongly about,” says Driver.
